I chose to contribute to They’re Not Here To Help because far too many families enter family court and child welfare systems believing those systems exist to protect children, only to discover a very different reality. My own experience, along with years of working alongside parents and caregivers, has shown me how important it is to document these stories and bring them into the light.

My hope is that readers walk away feeling less alone, more informed, and better equipped to advocate for themselves and their children. Real reform begins when people are willing to tell the truth about what families are experiencing, and this book is an important step in that conversation.
